Price in Pakistan: Close Enough That Specs Matter

The BYD Atto 2 price in Pakistan is currently listed at Rs 7.29 million ex-factory. The MG4 Urban price in Pakistan is currently listed at Rs 6.999 million ex-factory, making the MG roughly Rs 291,000 cheaper before registration, insurance and other charges.

At this price level, Rs 291,000 matters, but it probably should not decide the purchase on its own. Ground clearance, range methodology, safety equipment, charging access and after-sales support may affect ownership more than that initial difference.

Battery and Range: Do Not Compare 380 km With 316 km Directly

The Atto 2 has the larger battery at 45.12 kWh, compared with 43 kWh in the MG4 Urban.

But the range numbers use different testing standards.

The percentage windows matter. A 30–80% figure should not be compared directly with a 10–80% figure as though the tests were identical.

In city traffic, both should feel responsive because electric motors deliver torque immediately. The Atto 2's extra output is more relevant when joining fast traffic or overtaking than when crawling through rush-hour congestion.

So luggage capacity with the seats upright is almost identical. The MG's underfloor compartment is useful for keeping charging cables away from normal luggage.

Both use 12.8-inch infotainment screens. The Atto 2 adds BYD's rotating centre display, NFC access, 50W wireless charging and V2L. MG provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, 15W wireless charging and a separate 7-inch driver display.

The best cabin choice will depend on seating position and control layout more than the number of features on the brochure.

Safety: MG Has the Clearer Independent Test Record
